Our mission is to advocate for treatment options for Addiction which are based on rigorous and up to date scientific research.
We have no political affiliations and receive financial support only from our members.
Our aim is to provide evidence-based and clinically informed information and advice on addiction medicine topics for the public, media, and government.

Our mission is to advocate for treatment options for Addiction which are based on rigorous and up to date scientific research.
We believe that recent well meaning, but understudied addiction mitigation efforts funded by the Canadian government and promoted by people without adequate Addiction Medicine training are not supported by current research. In fact, there is increasing evidence that these treatments are doing harm to those that receive
them, as well as their communities.
